2009 Mission Trip to Novi Sad : Serbia

Prayer Requests

Please Pray for :

my final weeks. that i feel settled with the activities i can't do, and blessed by the activities i can.

the Fokus English project. conversation, laughter and a chance to serve as christians in the community through lanuage improvement!

the KORAB kindergarden run by the methodist church in Pivnice. the funding situation - they hope to be able to soon pay more than a token wage, and the witness they are to the community. expecially for the new incumant who is a single 26 year old who has a very active church and project to manage.

Oppertunities to share my faith with new people. I've met lots of old friends and a few new faces but i want to continue to meet more and it's slowing down as my friendship groups solidify.

Thankyou: My financial situation. Huge thanks to those who have supported me thus far. i have met my target raise now and extra will be put into the various projects i am working with.

For those people in London who take responsibility for this trip.

For my fellow EEP's around the world.

We walked up what they call a hill, about 2km with a group of mentally disabled adults. all the way they talked to me, and i even understood a little!

The photography project finally stoped talking and started shooting. some amazing pictures came out of a two hour session wandering the centre.

i went for a walk up to the fortress which is literally above and around me and took some pics. Don't it look pretty!

This badge, which i recieved at a volunteer evening, reads something like;
'One volunteer (female) brings the spring'

The Detaching project was a project aiming to get young people who gather on the streets to ask questions. It used Detached youth work practices to reach out to these youngsters, many of whom are students. The project involved lots of interactive activities, empowering peers to lead, grace theology mixed with random acts of kindness, and an experimental nature. It ran for 5 evenings on July 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, and 30th. There were 6 volunteers, 5 christian youngsters, a couple of worldy wise security people, and one mad red-haired english youthworker. God inspired and God funded, the outcome surpassed our dreams and left many amazing stories to seep out as days passed!
