2009 Mission Trip to Novi Sad : Serbia
FEB 15 - DEC 21
The year that changed my life
PhotographsWe walked up what they call a hill, about 2km with a group of mentally disabled adults. all the way they talked to me, and i even understood a little! The photography project finally stoped talking and started shooting. some amazing pictures came out of a two hour session wandering the centre. i went for a walk up to the fortress which is literally above and around me and took some pics. Don't it look pretty! This badge, which i recieved at a volunteer evening, reads something like; The roma children one saturday mornign when i remebered to take some pictures, (click on image for larger version)

The Detaching project was a project aiming to get young people who gather on the streets to ask questions. It used Detached youth work practices to reach out to these youngsters, many of whom are students. The project involved lots of interactive activities, empowering peers to lead, grace theology mixed with random acts of kindness, and an experimental nature. It ran for 5 evenings on July 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, and 30th. There were 6 volunteers, 5 christian youngsters, a couple of worldy wise security people, and one mad red-haired english youthworker. God inspired and God funded, the outcome surpassed our dreams and left many amazing stories to seep out as days passed!
